The title is a trick to make people want to see it, but I would not bother. If a title makes you want to see a film, choose for 'Young People F*cking', a film with the same kind of idea and structure, but with more depth, more humor and even more sex. Like that film, 'After Sex' exists out of episodes not linked together through a story but by subject. Some of these episodes are worth seeing here, but most are not.

The episodes all start with the sounds of the end of sex, some with two seconds of visuals. We meet straight couples, gay couples, lesbian couples, interracial couples, young couples, old couples, normal couples, weird couples, ex-couples, and of course just strangers right after sex. After this they talk about random stuff, sometimes dealing with the sex they just had, sometimes about an off-screen history, sometimes about nothing really.

The problem with this film therefore lies mostly in the dialogue. Some of these characters could be interesting, but there are no real insights and they talk in clichés. The exes have a conversation about feelings and at one point the woman says something about the man not able to have a heartache "because you don't have a heart." Wow, how original. Of course the dramatic way of leaving the room has to be included too.

The acting is mediocre. It seems some of the performers, like the film itself, think they have interesting or funny things to say, which isn't true. Again, try 'Young People F*cking', which is funny and has interesting things to say.
