Slowly expectations for superhero films are starting to get higher. I guess this happened somewhere around the terrific ‘Spider-Man 2’, especially when the next comic superhero turned out to be the Batman people were waiting for. ‘Batman Begins’ helmed by ‘Memento’ director Christopher Nolan. In 2008 we have already seen ‘Hellboy II’ and the impressive ‘Iron Man’. This Batman sequel meets the high expectations, surpasses them, and presents itself as the best film starring a superhero yet.

I say “starring a superhero” since ‘The Dark Knight’ is so much more than just a superhero film. Between the action this film is a psychological drama,

Less comedy than Tim Burton’s ‘Batman’

Both starring The Joker, totally different.
