Below you will find a temporary review for this film. The real (better, more complete) review will be online very soon.

Martin Scorsese as the director and Robert De Niro as the lead. It doesn't matter what the movie is about, when they work together a great film is made. Before 'Raging Bull' we saw 'Mean Streets', 'Taxi Driver' and 'New York, New York' and after it we saw 'The King of Comedy', 'Goodfellas' and 'Casino' to name the best. 'Goodfellas', 'Taxi Driver' and 'Raging Bull' are my favorites. As far as a De Niro performance concerned 'Raging Bull' is definitely my favorite. His Jake La Motta is one of the most interesting and best performed characters I have seen.

The whole movie is great, for most part shot in beautiful black and white. Not only De Niro shines, Joe Pesci as his brother Joey and Cathy Moriarty as his wife Vickie are also great. The directing by Scorsese is great, but that goes unsaid. A beautiful biography from a very complex character.
