Below you will find a temporary review for this film. The real (better, more complete) review will be online very soon.

'A Beautiful Mind' starts with one of the most beautiful opening themes I have ever heard and then a great story begins. To reveal too much would spoil things and it is hard to say what is too much. Russell Crowe is John Nash, a brilliant mathematician but not the greatest man when it comes to people. He goes to college, Princeton, but is not taking any classes. What he wants is to find one great new thing so he can probably do anything he wants after Princeton. He does find his great new thing and he is placed where he wanted to be placed. He has to do things for the government. A guy named Parcher (Ed Harris) asks him to break codes from the Russians to help the country. In the mean time he is married to Alicia (Jennifer Connelly), a girl who does like all his little strange things. Like I said, to tell more would spoil it, but things are about to get very interesting.

The way this story is told is great and very surprising. We follow John and Alicia till they are very old and the makeup department has done a great job with Crowe and Connelly. Just as the makeup, Crowe and Connelly were both nominated for an Oscar and Connelly even won the Oscar. If you have seen the movie you will know this is deserved. The acting in this movie is so great. Also Oscars for the great directing by Ron Howard, the screenplay by Akiva Goldsman and the movie. In my opinion the music was a winner as well, but James Horner had to do it with a nomination. Nothing in this movie is bad, just see for yourself.
