Below you will find a temporary review for this film. The real (better, more complete) review will be online very soon.

'Bulletproof Monk' contains scenes and ideas taken directly from movies such as 'Raiders of the Lost Ark, 'The Matrix', 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon' and even 'Ocean's Eleven', just to name the most obvious. Especially 'The Matrix' is a movie that you will think of in a lot of single scenes, and even the story has elements from that movie. If this movie was good, or at least enjoyable in any single way, I would not have complained very much, but this movie is not good or enjoyable. A few scenes may be, but that is it.

I don't even want to discuss the ridiculous story. There is a small chance you will like this if you like martial arts, although it is not very good, or Seann William Scott, although he is definitely not in his place here. Chow Yun-Fat becomes really annoying after a while. He misses the charm that a Jackie Chan has to make his lines work. He must stick with movies like 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon'. I think I have said enough, I did not like this movie.
