When it comes to bad films I have discovered that a comedy is still most easily enjoyed. Action or adventure turn into boring comedy, thriller and horror turn into predictable comedy, sci-fi and fantasy turn into ridiculous comedy. Comedy can not really change into something else, except some will it becomes drama when done badly. Still, one little smile and the film is restored as a comedy. This is something I reall thought, even after seeing a lot of terrible examples. And then I saw last 2006's 'Date Movie'.

Since I believe every filmmaker deserves a second chance I wanted to see the 'Epic Movie'. I should have known better. Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, both writers and directors, must be the least funniest guys walking around in Hollywood. Or any other place. In this film they make fun of mostly blockbusters. Scene after scene potentially funny stuff is wasted in the hands of the writers. Compared to this 'Scary Movie' is a masterpiece and 'Airplane' the greatest film ever made. If it wasn't for 'Date Movie' this would have been the worst comedy ever made. Now, I think we have a tie.
