Below you will find a temporary review for this film. The real (better, more complete) review will be online very soon.

Director Stanley Kubrick is one of the best directors of all time. After his great 'The Killing' and before the great films in the sixties ('Spartacus', 'Lolita', 'Dr. Strangelove', and '2001') he made one of his best films. 'Paths of Glory' plays in WW-I, in the French Army when they are fighting the Germans. An impossible attack on a hill, Ant Hill, goes terribly wrong, as expected by Col. Dax (Kirk Douglas). Three random guys will be sentenced to death, just to make an example.

A great anti-war film, with great performances. The couple of minutes before the execution must take place are a couple of the best minutes I have ever seen on screen. Stanley Kubrick with one of his best films, definitely.
